On June 22, 2019, at 9:00 pm, the Folklore Gala “Re_cordis: Back in the heart” took place in Santa Cruz, a show integrated in the Santa Cruz County festival program – SANTAFAZ’19.
Recordis refers to the Latin origin of the word remembrance or again in the heart and proposes to the public a journey through space and time through the lands of Santa Cruz.
Moving away from the more conventional folklore performances, this show referred to the history of Santa Cruz and the distinctive identity elements of each parish. In a unique show, past experiences were recalled, bringing them back to the heart.
In this show we had the following groups: Grupo de Folclore da Casa do Povo de Santa Cruz, Folclore e Tradições de Gaula – TRAGA, Grupo de Folclore da Casa do Povo de Gaula, Grupo Romarias e Tradições da Camacha, Grupo Folclórico Infantil da Camacha, Grupo Folclórico Juvenil da Camacha, Grupo de Folclore do Rochão, Grupo de Romarias antigas do Rochão e Grupo Folclórico da Casa do Povo da Camacha that also organized this show, in partnership with the Santa Cruz City Council.
The opening of the show also counted with the special participation of the MUTRAMA project and the closing event counted on the intervention of the cultural mediator Catarina Claro.
Additionally, at the MUTRAMA show we had a unique moment with Maria João and our members Fátima Pestana and Cristiana Sousa.
